Dapper Dan Farm is proud to offer quality instruction for all ages and levels of riders. We currently boast two instructors; specializing in hunters, jumpers and equitation. Our instructors, along with our wonderful lesson horses and ponies, work to help young horse people develop their equestrian skills in a safe and fun way. From their first pony ride to showing the 'AA' circuit, our riders work hard and have fun doing it. We also encourage riders to take part in our four annual shows, an easy way to break into the world of showing. Lessons are taught seven days a week, year round.

Dapper Dan Farm also offers training for horses/ponies. Since we are a breeding farm, our riders and trainers have experience working with our young ponies. Our ponies start showing in hand classes, sometimes by the mare's side but usually weanling to yearling, at our home shows. They will show those classes until they are two years old, when they begin lunging. At three years old, we start sitting on them, slowly extending the riding period. Jumping does not start until late three to four years old to ensure healthy legs. As three year olds, they will get two-three months of the hardest winter off. Usually in March, they will begin working again. If they are ready, we show them in flat classes (home shows) or if it is a particularly precocious youngster, a few jumping classes and away shows.
